We have finally reached the ultimate version of life, the universe, and everything!

This version includes the following changes:

  • Rules for creating and using a hex map. The default travel rules never really worked with a hex map, so I wrote some rules to make them work and gave some guidelines for how to create a simple hex map to go with them. These were the promised mapping guidelines mentioned in the previous update.
  • Fixed an oversight with provisions which resulted from a previous change. To do something while skipping travel, you now either have to use provisions or increase your exhaustion. This prevents you from helplessly starving to death when you run out of provisions. The rule for not being able to rest without provisions has also been removed. Running out of provisions is less of a death sentence now, but it's probably still not great. A minor change with provisions is that they can now be used to get a +2 bonus while travelling during a heat wave or through the desert.
  • Changed the aiming rules a bit so they are somewhat less forgiving and more interesting. A failure now by default means something bad (read: interesting) happens.
  • Added the suggestion of assigning a personality traits to institutions. This incorporates personality traits a bit more into the system and can make for more interesting institutions.

Hopefully still coming at some point:

  • A ruins generator to help with exploration during travel.
  • Rules for magical disease/vampirism.
