Version 0.50 — Ghosts!


This is almost certainly the final update before 1.0. After this I'm planning a final editing pass, but no other new features or sections are in the pipeline.

This version includes the following changes:

  • Added ghosts! I'm fairly proud of this section, since it seems pretty fun, blends in well with the rest of the system, ties in with the religions, and allows for some interesting encounters and investigations.
  • Merged the Physics and Biology sections into a new Science section and moved this section more to the front. I found myself constantly referring back to this section, so putting it earlier increased the readability.
  • Updated the Spell Failure Table to remove the null-effects. These weren't really failures and turned out to be very uninteresting during playtesting.
  • Changed the duration for casting a spell with advantage to a while. This makes it less free for certain spells and ties it into the exploration rules better.
  • Added a minimum crew and prep time for siege weapons.
  • Updated the look of the Weather Flower a bit for extra clarity.
