Click actual information, definitely not secret brain-eating trap This game was made for the 12-word RPG jam.

Here's where I would claim that brain-eating has a long and storied tradition within folklore and that brains are definitely the forbidden snack, especially considering prion diseases and whatnot... But yeah, no, I definitely didn't have any of these themes in mind when I came up with this game. I had seen the announcement for this jam and not too long after I thought of combining forgetting with eating brains and figured I could write it down in 12 words.

I don't think this game is technically fully complete, but it's somewhat actionable. If I had a few more words, I'd definitely add some guidelines for running the game and which actions you should be able to write down. Maybe I'll add these after the jam is done.

... If you want to make this game real sad, make one or your actions "remember".

"I’m clearly not getting the reference... Yet, the concept of writing secret actions in advance sounds like a great core mechanic for an RPG. I could see a one scene game where after a quick introduction, everyone writes some actions, and we resolve them in turn. Making a playable “cadavre exquis” in a way."

I wrote this review in my selection of 12-word RPG where your game is featured by the way.

Oh, I wasn’t trying to reference anything in specific. This idea came from thinking about playing a game from a zombie’s perspective. I realised afterwards that I could combine this with the memory-as-a-resource idea I’d been meaning to use for something. It somewhat tragically simulates the lifecycle of a generic zombie. That being said, I could totally see someone using it for some other kind of creature.

Thanks for the review!

Tragically brilliant and inspired!!

Very atmospheric and actually kinda sad...it's impressive that this is a game loop, as well. Love the concept!

Great work! That's so sad for the zombie forgetting who they are. :(
